WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?

We want to contribute to a world where everyone’s needs matter. Where people are able to hear and understand each other empathically. A world in which we have the skills and capacity to solve the challenges in ourselves, in our relationships, in our organizations, and in our world in a compassionate way.

HOW DO WE DO THIS?

We help people solve their conflicts, without needing the other person. By using and teaching the language of needs, mindfulness tools and Integral theory, we’re able to help people solve their inner conflict. With one person free of conflict, more relaxed, more spacious, the relationship will follow.

WHAT DO WE DO?

We do everything in our power to help you solve your conflict and to teach you how to do it yourself. One-on-one sessions via Skype, support for changing the culture of teams, free public classes, videos and stories. Anything to help people learn the language that helps us to connect over differences. The language of needs, with a touch of compassion.

WHAT’S WITH THE NAME?

Loodens comes from the Latin word for Play. We want to return to a state of playfulness. In ourselves and in our conversations. So our words effortlessly flow from one person to another and we are having fun: learning, loving and creating together.

Sometimes the flow gets interrupted and it doesn’t feel like playing anymore. Instead of fast-forwarding and rushing over these uncomfortable moments, we want to press pause and reinvent the conversation. With the purpose of making our interaction playful again. This pausing and talking about what each person needs in a moment is key to resolving conflicts. It also seems to have the side-effect of deepening the trust and openness in our relationships.

WHO INSPIRES US?

We want to acknowledge the shoulders we stand on and at the same time acknowledge that there is no end to our gratitude for the thousands of teachers in our lives. From Marshall Rosenberg to Kristie’s daughters.
Here’s a very abbreviated list of eighteen people.

Marshall Rosenberg, Marie Miyashiro, Brene Brown, Eckhart Tolle, Tich Nath Hanh, LaShelle Lowe-Chardé, Philip Bromberg, Sarah Peyton, Viki McCabe, Seth Godin, Krista Tippett, Frederic Laloux, Ken Wilber, Jan Carel van Dorp, Miki Kashtan, Kristie’s daughters and you.
